Deniel Figueroa is a 2030 SS/RHP with a 5-7 131 lb. frame from Cidra, PR who attends Colegio San Ignacio De Loyola. Young and athletic build with lots of time to get stronger, only 13 years old. 8.16 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has an idea on his footwork and gets around the ball and works through, nice overall actions for his age, impressive raw arm strength at this point. Left handed hitter, has a loose swing, trying to get the barrel out front and has some feel for finding the barrel, contact to all fields. Took a turn on the mound, works from a standard stretch with lower half drive to the plate and an over the top arm slot, will pull off to the first base side at times. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, threw almost fastballs and challenged hitters. Will be fun to watch develop.
