Jakobe Haynes is a 2026 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-11 187 lb. frame from Byram, MS who attends Lawrence County. Stronger athletic build. 6.77 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has a quick first step and moves aggressively to the ball, fields the ball cleanly to the side, tends to pat his glove in his transition and slow his release, has a quick and compact arm action with good carry on his throws. Also worked out in the infield with third base actions, more comfortable at present in the outfield. Right handed hitter, sets up with a high hand load, simple trigger and stride into contact, athletic shift, has quick hands, showed an accurate and well timed barrel in the games with multiple solid hits. Also pitched with a standard delivery and short stride down the mound. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with some running life, also developing a change up. Did not observe a breaking ball. Good student.
