2022 Fall Connecticut Showcase
Owen Palmer is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Woodbury, CT who attends Nonnewaug. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with two hands, quick transfer out of glove, works through the backhand well, can implement additional lower half/footwork into actions, shows carry on throws across with a clean release, able to change slot when needed. Also pitched, compact operation on the mound and repeats mechanics well, steady hand set prior to breaking through the back into a high three-quarters release point; front side tends to open early coming down the mound, pitched to contact but worked around the zone and collected outs, fastball topped out at 78 mph with short life and mixed a curveball up to 67 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with an open stance with a quiet hand set at start. Incorporates strong lower half well and shows ability to impact the ball to all fields and did so in game as well. Creates lift out front at the point of contact, ball jumps when squared, comfort turning on the ball to the pull side gap. Excellent student. Named to Fall Connecticut Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
