Jake Underbakke-Hennessy is a 2025 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from West Liberty, IA, who attends West Liberty. A taller frame with good physicality in a bigger frame. Room to continue adding strength to the frame. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman who fields the ball up the middle, throwing from a three-quarters arm slot working across the diamond. He has a bigger lower half with physicality that he used well, generating some momentum and strength by working through the funnel into throws. He had softer hands with his glove working through the funnel, throwing 74 mph across his diamond. He also worked out as an outfielder, fielding it off the front foot and then working into the throws with a longer arm action. He had a longer arm action with good extension on his throws through this longer release overall. He threw 73 mph from the outfielder working out of a jumping crow-hop. A right-handed hitter who has a wider and spread stance with higher-set hands and a higher back elbow. He has deeper hands with a rotational swing working through contact. He has a leg lift trigger with some aggressiveness in the lower half as he strides and turns into it. He had a level path with some strength to impact. He impacts it well with strength and physicality off the barrel, which was shown during BP. He produced an 83 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
