Adrian J Rivera is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-11 132 lb. frame from Toa Alta, PR who attends Colegio La Salle Bayamon. Slender young athletic build with lots of physical projection. 7.31 runner in the sixty. Long and clean actions in the outfield on defense, arm works well with good direction and fundamentals through release, gets nice young carry and makes accurate one hop throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a bent knee stance with limited lower half shift into contact, short inside swing path with a mid field to opposite field orientation, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and adjustments. Also took a turn on the mound, big hip turn delivery with a long arm action in back, works exclusively from the stretch, extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, worked effectively to both sides of the plate and was able to get lots of swing and miss above barrels, tends to slow his arm on his curveball. Very good student.
