Dan Dyer is a 2006 right handed pitcher/middle infielder from San Jose, California. He has an athletic body at 5'10", 165 lbs. with room for added muscle. Dyer threw 3 innings with dominating numbers. He struck out 6 while allowing only 1 hit during his 3 innings. He has a balanced delivery, and showed the ability to get hitters off balance. Hitters looked to have trouble seeing the ball off of Dyer, and he really shut down the offense. Dyer has quick twitch actions at second base with soft hands, and high energy in his game. He turns the double play very well, and is agile with a quick transfer and accurate throws. He uses a contact spray approach at the plate, and will hit a lot of line drives, and make consistent contact needed to be an early line up hitter. Dan can play the game.
