2024 EC Lumberjack's Workout Showcase
Drew LeGrady is a 2027 2B/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Baiting Hollow, NY who attends Riverhead Senior. Medium, lean frame with plenty of room and time to physically mature. Recorded a 7.50 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary second baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Takes proper angles laterally to get to spots, bends slightly at the waist to field and gets upright into release. Showed some athleticism up the middle and recorded fairly accurate throws up to 78 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with slight hip turn into balance and medium, open stride out to foot strike. Slight cross-body landing creates deception, fastball worked in the upper-70s for the majority of his outing, peaking at 80 mph in this look. Generates tons of arm-side run to the fastball, flashed firmer, slightly faded changeup as go-to secondary offering. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and addition of a breaking ball. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open base and an exaggerated high hand set. Incorporates a deep hanging leg lift and rotational lower half mechanics into launch. Middle-of-the field approach with some feel for the barrel and present bat speed. Will continue to improve with proper timing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.
