Primary catcher on defense, sets up low behind the plate, has compact and efficient actions in all regards, gets out of his crouch well and has lateral range shifting, quick hands receiving the ball, polished footwork throwing and makes accurate throws with some carry, stood out defensively in the game with his receiving. Right handed hitter, hits from an over base with a big hip coil load, still high hand start, lower half driven swing, can improve his separation through contact for more power, mostly mid field line drive contact.
