Cade Richey is a 2029 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford. Tall frame with advanced physicality for the class. Prototypical pitchers body with room to fill out and add more strength. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Primary position RHP, using a chest high leg lift, loading in a strong position over the rubber. Creates solid direction down the mound, landing in line and staying loaded until foot strike. Medium inline arm path leading the way to a high 3/4 arm angle and filling up the zone at a good rate. FB up to 84 mph with sinking type action, boring down and in on RHHs. Lots of soft contact and roll overs, then mixing in the occasional slider with two-plane break in the mid-70s. Secondary position 1B, showing a good first step getting into angles quickly with good feel for the spot. Firmer glove work but secures the ball with consistency and trusts the process. Arm plays well here with feeds up to 85 mph across the diamond. Similar solid fundamentals on the infield and from the outfield. Making plays and working to a deeper midline transfer before ripping throws up to 87 mph in both spots. RHH starting a bit narrow with a tighter high handset and high back elbow moving quietly to front side before working to ball. Stays above the ball and will get a bit steep here and there but there is massive strength at impact. Hands work and when on time and on plane showed easy lofted power gap to gap. Power oriented game with more to come.
