2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 21)
Tatum White is a 2029 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 235 lb. frame from Newnan, GA who attends East Coweta. Large frame, especially for his class, with dense muscularity and plenty of time to refine and add overall athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.19 seconds. Primary position 1B, moving deliberately to the ball and making plays. Firm glove work, presenting the hands out front nicely to a deeper midline transfer. Understands the angels around the bag. Accurate feeds across the diamond reaching 78 mph on throws. Switch-hitter, standing in the box tall and relaxed from the left-side using a slow, early load prep-pitch. Good rhythm to his hands with emerging feel for the barrel and when on time squared it up well. Did have some timing issues that are easily resolved. From the right-side, using similar setup and showing some length to the swing here. Bigger hand load and gets the barrel going with aggression. Young hitter with things to refine but there is no denying the strength.
