Cason Holtzclaw is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Franklin, GA who attends Heard County. Strong looking build with average height for the class that will only improve over time. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, athletic mover, good hands and actions, developing arm strength with a quick release, overall package will improve greatly with arm strength, solid actions here with a clean overall round that projects. Secondary right-handed pitcher, staggered feet, works off the first base side, high hands drop to waist with quick delivery after the sidestep, belt high lift, quick arm behind to three-quarters slot, filled up zone with entire mix, nice shape on 11/5 curveball. Right-handed hitter, slightly open, high hands and back elbow, medium knee lift trigger, off the backside a lot, worked to release it out front, solid components to build on, four hits in game action as well. Solid foundation with real skills in every facet, projects nicely long term. Named to the 2023 14U Georgia All-State Games Top Prospect List.
