Matthew Lieb Jr is a 2025 RHP/1B, 3B, SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Allen Park, MI who attends Allen Park. Primary right-handed pitcher with a lean and athletic build. Uses a slower and methodical delivery to work in line and get downhill throwing from a standard 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 79 with arm side run at times. Also, could manipulate and make it cut at times. Works with good upbeat tempo and knows what he wants to do with the ball. Mixed in a good-looking curve with 11-5 shape as well working North to South. Showed good depth to the change as well burying it on the lower third of the plate. Also took infield with quick feet. Moves well laterally. Shuffles a good bit before releasing but had good strength and accuracy behind his throws. The arm is quick with a quick release and was up to 82 from across the diamond. Also ran a 7.19 sixty. Right-handed hitter with an even base and slightly open stance. Coils into his hands with a big leg lift on impact. Could impact the ball hard to his pull side well. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
