Manuel Barboza is a 2028 2B/3B/OF with a 5-9 154 lb. frame from Maracaibo, ZU who attends Bishop Moore. Lean young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary infielder on defense, has hand speed in release with a longer arm action, solid average arm strength across for the class with accuracy, smooth glove actions out front and moves well to either side, good in game defender too. Took reps in the outfield, bent over the waist to field, hitch in the back of the arm action, medium three-quarters slot release, gets on top with good lines to either bag, clean receiver with athleticism. Right-handed pitcher, stretch only with a simple motion, three-quarters slot, small hip turn, light arm side run to the heater, loose spin on the slider, short closed stride, developing off-speed and breaking stuff. Right-handed hitter, even base, upright with high hands and a high back elbow, stuck on the backside occasionally, long one-handed finish with developing bat speed, hands work well and can make adjustments. Good body projection. Connected on a homerun to left in game action. Named to the PG Preseason High School Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
