Jackson Papenfus is a 2025 RHP/C/3B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Parker, TX who attends Plano East. Primary infielder with a medium frame and build. Ran a 7.55 second sixty. Works with good pace and a smooth delivery down the mound using his lower half well to stay online and explode off the backside. Shows solid arm speed with some whip out front from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball sat mostly in the mid 80’s with arm side life while topping out at 88 mph and moving it east and west across the zone. Spun the curveball with tight spin creating good depth as well as a changeup to mix speeds and round out the three pitch mix. Waits back on the ball on the infield, shows soft hands with a clean funnel making strong throws across the diamond with solid arm strength. Relies on the arm strength behind the plate as well with a quicker exchange looking to get it out quick with minimal footwork on a 2.06 second pop time. Right handed hitter starts with an open base using a simple stride to trigger. Does a nice job staying shorter with the path looking to get to his strength front at the point of impact. Very good student. Named to the 2023 Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
