Bodie Burnette is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 178 lb. frame from Stevenson, AL who attends North Jackson. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with a deep hand load and a toe tap timer, gets to his front side early and tends to lose his back side, early bat release with one hand, has adjustments to make with his swing mechanics. 7.28 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well side to side and gets his glove in good positions, tends to tap his glove in his transfers slowing down his release, second base arm strength and actions. Took a turn on the mound, has a slow paced delivery with a compact arm action and high leg raise start, tends to land open and pull off to the glove side. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, also threw a short curveball that he landed well. Excellent student.
