Gunner Kuhle is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-11 163 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Dubuque. Lean and projectable athletic build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with open feet and a high hand load, big barrel tilt in his pre-load that he gets through in time, long and loose extended swing with good lower half turn to drive the barrel, has some bat speed and ability to impact the ball, best contact to the pull side. 4.96 runner in the forty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up side saddle behind the plate, gains ground into his throws, mid-line transfers, has some arm strength and carry on his throws, can improve his quickness out of his crouch. Also worked out in the infield, showed some foot quickness and moved well laterally, tends to get his glove down late, young overall infield actions but has the athleticism to improve here. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a quick low leg raise, athletic delivery that gets into his lower half well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph and was mostly straight. Showed some feel for his change up with good arm speed and some fading depth, also threw a curveball that flashed some sharpness at times. Good student.
