Michael Anderson is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Leominster, MA who attends St. Paul Diocesan. Recorded a 7.48 second sixty-yard dash time. Large, physical frame with present lower half strength and some room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates chest leg lift into balance, long stride out to foot strike and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 81 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Showed good command to both sides of the plate, sequencing well with the ability to throw his 11-5 shaped curveball for strikes when behind in the count. Proficient strike thrower with some deception, while showing the ability to disrupt hitters timing effectively and generate tons of weak contact. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set; exhibits deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process with clean glove actions and some lateral range. Displays smooth transfers to throw, up to 79 mph across the diamond from an over-the-top arm slot. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high, tight hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates toe-tap trigger for timing and rotational lower mechanics to get launch. Contact oriented stroke with short, direct linear swing plane and some strength in his hands, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
