Josh Hickey is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Beaumont, CA who attends Yucaipa. Slender build with potential to get stronger. Ran the 60 yard dash on 7.75 seconds. Primary Right-handed pitcher, short compact arm circle with a high three-quarter arm slot, fastball worked 78-80 mph with straight action. Showed curveball with slow depth and some shape. Also showed change up, has a tendency to cut it but has proper fade to the pitch. Has a good feel and command of all three pitches. Also took some outfield, handled the position well showing a smooth transfer and quick release with accurate throws. Right-handed hitter, slightly open stance, very relaxed, toe tap stride, loads hands back, consistently barreled up the ball with a flat bat path. Excellent student.
