Nicholas Verdugo is a 2022 2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Rocklin, CA who attends Del Oro. Medium height with square shoulder and a slender waist with a build that can hold lower half weight. Ran a 7.20 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, reads hops well off the bat and his feet put him in good position to transfer and throw. Works through and controls the body, accurate throwing across the diamond. A secondary outfielder, worked through the ball with a good glove position and tracks it in. Good feel for one hop accuracy. A left-handed hitter, starts narrow and in line with the base with a low hand set. Quick hands and can pull them in to manipulate the barrel, all fields approach with some drive to the gaps. Good upside as he engages the lower half. Very good student.
