2025 PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO
Coi Sommers is a 2027 RHP/C/UT with a 5-8 162 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends Villa Rica HS. Recorded a 7.63 second 60-yard dash time. Lean frame with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a simple operation and compact movements. Big leg lift and turn towards second base with a loose arm stroke. Sinks the fastball well and was up to 81 mph. Breaking ball showed 12/6 shape and there was good confidence in the pitch. Threw it for strikes often and could use it as a weapon with frequency. Showed off arm strength and positional versatility from multiple positions including outfield, first base, and catcher. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and an elongated path. Even base and keeps the weight back well. Whole field approach and execution. Tremendous student.
