2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Will Stapleton is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Southside, AL who attends Southside. Young, athletic frame with nice projection and current wiry strength. Plenty of time to add overall physicality as well. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.91 seconds. Primary position outfielder, working methodically to the ball and using firm glove work to secure the ball out front. Deeper midline transfer and a few extra steps to get rid of the ball. Full arm path with developing arm strength generating throws up to 75 mph back to the infield. Fundamental actions overall that will continue to improve with speed of the game. RHH working from an even base and upright stance, starting hands high with high back elbow. Short stride and compact overall mechanics and stroke working hands efficiently to the ball. Rotational upper-half swing with pull side projectable power that should show up quickly once the lower-half becomes more integrated. Very good student as well.
