Devin Wheaton is a 2026 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-6 165 lb. frame from Plainfield, IL who attends Oswego East. Smaller, compact build. 7.18 runner in the sixty-yard dash. Right-handed hitter, wide base with high hands in the stance, quick hands with obvious twitch, simple swing and shot liners into both gaps consistently. Repeats the path nicely and has good control of the barrel. Will continue growing into more power. Primary shortstop, has a good bounce to the actions, solid lower half mechanics working around grounders with confidence in the glove. Fundamentally sound mover, compact arm action and showed a good internal clock. Throws get across the diamond, recorded throws up to 79 mph with developing accuracy. Secondary right-handed pitcher, small side step into a shallow leg lift out of the windup, drop and drive lower half mechanics, full arm path in the back to a three-quarters slot. Athletic and repeats the delivery. Fastball got up to 78 mph (1345 RPM) and curveball showed consistent 11-5 shape, up to 70 mph (1836 RPM). Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
