Caleb Foss is a 2027 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake. Features a medium-sized athletic build. In the INF, showed relaxed actions with some feel for how to move on the dirt. Lighter feet that work through it well. Smooth/sure hands with a clean funnel to belt. Quick exchange to a fast release. Loose arm that got off accurate throws across with avg. strength for his level (81 mph). Strong on the move and on slow rollers with ability to manipulate slot. At the plate, worked from an even base with loose lower-hanging hands. Got off balanced/connected hacks. Easy whip/turn off the barrel with feel to catch it out front while staying behind it. Produced several hard pull side liners throughout his round. Quality feel for the barrel. Flashes of above avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Swing translated into gameplay. On the mound, worked exclusively from the stretch. Worked into a belt high tuck with good engagement with backhip. Holds hinge well while drifting down the mound. Avg. length to the stride that works on-line with a solid block. Shorter arm circle out the glove that works up to a higher 3/4 slot. Flashes of some quality arm speed. Slight head wack at finish. Ran the FB into the low 80s that showed some natural running action. Named to Top Prospects List.
