Jose Andres Ruiz Rodriguez is a 2026 C/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Basha. Features a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. Uses a one-knee setup. Shows a clean exchange when in-sync. Has arm speed present into accurate throws. Recorded a 2.05 pop time. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wider base stance with a slight barrel hitch. Swings on a direct path. Approach is geared toward the pullside. Continuing to refine timing would allow for more consistent barrel accuracy. Right-handed pitcher. Uses a semi-windup delivery with drop and drive mechanics. Throws from a 3/4 slot with a longer arm action. Fastball sat 77-79 mph. Throws it around the zone consistently. Slider at 66-68 mph shows short, tilting action. Has some depth and can land it consistently. WIll mix in straight changeup at 68-72 mph at times.
