Ty McKenzie II is a 2029 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Brentwood, TN who attends Lipscomb Academy. Slender young build with lots of room and time to get stronger. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well side to side and gets to his spots, clean glove action, throws comfortably from lower arm slots and has some present arm strength, arm is loose and projects well, should continue to improve defensively as he matures physically, especially with his arm strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in an upright and slightly open stance with tight forward hands in his load, simple short stride into his swing, compact swing path, can get into his lower half more for additional bat speed, looking to lift the ball but still developing the bat speed to do so, contact to all fields. Excellent student.
