Kye Ward is a 2029 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Salem, UT. Medium athletic build. 7.02 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense who has two-way potential on the mound. Has athletic actions in the infield and moves well to both sides, soft hands at the ball, has plenty of young arm strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium stance with an inward toe tap/leg lift, hands stay tight in his swing, quick turns and has some bat speed, works to all fields with his best contact to the pull side. Works from a full wind up on the mound with a belt high leg raise and a deep arm takeaway in back, 3/4's arm slot, gets into his lower half well and drives down the mound, tends to be early with his front side on release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with some run and sink, can leave his arm behind on his fastball at times. Also threw an upper 60's curveball with some vertical depth.
