Ryan Edwards is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Greenville, NC who attends D H Conley. Medium young athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.03 seconds. Primary RHP, working from a full wind up from the third base side of the rubber, and getting an inward turn over the rubber to load the hips. Uses a very deep offline arm path and accelerates through a high 3/4 arm angle to release. Running fastball that peaked at 84 mph, showing some heaviness to it at the plate. Spins the slider quite well with 2,100+ rpms and used a firm changeup with excellent action, just needs to take some velocity off. Nice projection on the bump here. Secondary OF, with some hop to his first step and working the glove nicely out front. Methodical transfer to the midline and flashed solid arm strength with accurate one-hop feeds up to 86 mph back to bags. RHH working from a medium inline start, tighter handset with some barrel tilt, and.small leg lift get to moving. Knows how to use his core, turning hard and generating good bat speed. Emerging barrel feel, with a slightly uphill path to impact. interesting overall skillset and an outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
