Gavin Gross is a 2027 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from King Of Prussia, PA who attends Pope John Paul II. Gross displayed present athleticism across multiple areas of his game, starting from the OF where he flashed projectable actions with sound glove work and solid downhill momentum created, ultimately topping out at 83 mph. He remained on top of throws and produced a consistent clean release with arm strength expected to continue developing as the frame fills out for the '27 prospect. On the mound, worked exclusively from the stretch starting from the 1B side of the rubber. Hands break into a shorter in-line arm path which saw the FB up to 79 mph. Located off speed well and sequenced arsenal effectively with both a CB and Splitter shown. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open base with a lower hand set and low back elbow. Gross attempted to get the barrel extended and generate impact out in front with flashes of strength in the hands. Can sit back a bit longer for more consistent impact to all parts of field, but handles the barrel well and should project nicely. Posted an exit velo of 81 mph. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
