Carson Michael is a 2026 C/RHP/3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Lexington, NC who attends West Davidson. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, moves through reception well and incorporates lower half, shows flexibility in actions, compact arm action with strength and carry that will continue to develop on throws; Longer arm action on throws from the outfield, stays low on approach and through the ball, tends to get misdirected into release, shows more carry on throws. Also pitched, compact delivery with a controlled operation on the mound, clean and fluid arm action with quickness through back to a three-quarters slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, generates hard running life to arm side on the fastball with extension out front and intent at release; worked mostly off of fastball, showed a shorter curveball up to 63 mph that he can continue to maintain arm speed on moving forward. Left-handed hitter, begins with a spread start and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Shows quickness to hands and does a nice job of creating contact and extension out front. Generates best strength to pull side with occasional lift to path, projects nicely moving forward, consistent in swing mechanics.
