2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 21)
Dylahn Bodkin is a 2026 2B/SS/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood Park. Medium frame with lean, current muscular build and the type of body that can add overall mass in the near future. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.06 seconds. Primary position infielder, moving pretty well with his first step and showing solid overall footwork through his reps. Emerging glove work that will become smoother with time but secured the ball consistently. Accurate feeds with compact arm path across the diamond up to 75 mph across the diamond. Reps in the outfield as well, playing with bounce in his step and looks confident here as well. High 3/4 short arm path with throws up to 76 mph here. LHH using a relaxed and more upright stance and loose handset to get ready pre-pitch. Quiet load and minimal separation but was late timing wise in the early part of the BP round. Gets on plane most of the time with some slight lift in the path to impact. When late it was lofted fly balls to left but when on time and extended showed hard line drives in the middle of the field. Nice looking swing and projects with added size and musculature. Excellent student as well.
