Preston Bolam is a 2027 OF/1B, IF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Puyallup, WA who attends Emerald Ridge. Has a medium sized compact frame with hints of strength. Ran a 7.49 60-yd dash. In the OF, he has a good initial approach to start with some slight slow down into reception. Fielded deeper into his body with a glove tap before working into his crow hop. Showed a shorter arm action that got off 2-3 hop accurate throws exhibiting avg. strength for his level up to 74 mph. At the plate, he sits with a medium base that is slightly open. Some rhythm to the hands that sync with a smaller leg lift trigger. Loads the barrel into a flatter launch where his hands throw a direct and quick barrel with a level finish. Showed good balance throughout the swing. Was on-barrel a majority of his batting practice round that had flashes of some solid pullside impact but stayed through the middle for the most part with line drives.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
