Tesla Calhoun is a 2028 OF/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Bowie. Primary Outfielder with a lean and athletic frame. Takes an athletic quick first step to the ball fielding it out front with a one hand gather. Works through ball and carries momentum through target. Ball comes out well from shorter compact arm action. Projectable arm strength. Accurate throws. Also pitched throwing from a standard 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 78 and showed a curve with 10-4 shape. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Uses a small stride into contact for timing and rhythm. Showed good bat speed with feel to lift and launch the ball. Strength off the barrel was evident and could impact it. Projects as a gap-to-gap hitter. Excellent Student. Named to the Texas High School All-State TP List.
