Elias Larsen is a 2029 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Hutto, TX who attends Hutto. Slender young athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with an early weight shift to his front side, downhill swing plane with mostly pull side contact, ground ball to line drive contact, developing bat speed. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, had step by step actions to the ball, tends to play upright, had confident glove actions, made accurate soft throws, third base projection as he continues to grow and get stronger. Also worked out in the outfield, got into position to field and made accurate soft throws, tended to wait back on the ball, compact arm action. Took a turn on the mound, worked from the stretch with a high leg raise and 3/4's arm slot, long arm in back with a short stride out front. Fastball was in the mid-70's and topped out at 78 mph and was thrown down in the zone consistently. Still developing feel for spinning a soft slider. Good student.
