Alex Barr is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Demotte, IN who attends Kankakee Valley. Large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran an 8.03 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, hip turn at top of coil with energy coming down the mound, shorter arm stroke through the back with present arm speed working to release point. Online directionality down the mound out of stretch, worked around the zone and maintained velocity over both frames, topping out at 86 mph. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, stays short to the ball with some lift and extension out front, was well timed and got the ball in the air consistently. Plays first base defensively when not on the mound. Verbal commitment to Indiana.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
