Jayden Lugo is a 2027 C/MIF with a 5-10 156 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends Archbishop Stepinac. Works from a medium athletic frame with physical upside. Primary catcher, starts in a bent-knee stance, displayed a quick transfer that worked into a shorter arm stroke just behind the ear, delivered low and online throws to the bag, recorded arm strength up to 72 mph and a pop time of 2.25. Secondary middle-infielder, stays light on the feet and covers ground well, displayed clean glove actions, gets rid of the ball with urgency, releases it from a lower slot. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider base with a high hand set-up, utilizes a small toe-tap trigger, creates leverage and carry to the pull-side, remains short to the ball, can backspin baseballs from gap to gap, projects for more power as he continues to physically mature, recorded an exit velocity of 77 mph.
