Michael Marley is a 2025 C/OF/UT with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Clearwater, FL who attends Northeast. Taller athletic build with good present strength. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense whose athleticism allows him to play multiple positions. Sets up square behind the plate, tends to stand up to throw instead of gaining ground, has quickness in his exchange and release and makes accurate throws. Looked solid in the outfield, with aggressive actions through the ball and good footwork thru release, got on top of his throws well with good carry. Also worked out in the infield but is well behind the other two at this position in his basic fundamentals and actions. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a deep hand load and inward toe tap timer, takes a big aggressive swing with an uphill swing plane, got the ball into the air consistently and created some carry to mid field and the pull side, pretty consistent in his timing, has hitting tools to develop. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
