Luke North is a 2029 OF/1B/LHP with a 5-10 148 lb. frame from Fredericksburg, TX who attends Fredericksburg. Lean athletic build with lots of room and time to keep adding strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and slightly open stance, tends to open up early with his head/front side, swings hard with some young bat speed but developing barrel control, middle of the field line drive contact when he was on time. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moved to the ball and got into position to field the ball, made accurate soft throws. Also worked out at first base, got off the bag well with athletic actions, made good turns to second base, developing accuracy on his throws. Took a turn on the mound, worked from a controlled well balanced delivery with good downhill plane to the plate, standard 3/4's arm slot with a clean arm action that projects. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with good location and some running life. Curveball was a promising pitch with some big 1/7 depth at times and was located well. Projected better on the mound moving forward based on this look.
