Kasen Gilroy is a 2028 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Prairie. Long-levered, projectable frame with a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Recorded a 7.44 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked from a rhythmic full windup delivery with good tempo, a higher leg lift into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the majority of his outing, peaking at 80 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone that will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments. Showed advanced for spin, landing his sharp, depth curveball for strikes and faded changeup complete his three-pitch mix. Tons of velocity upside remaining. Secondary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set. Fields properly off his front foot, carries momentum into release and worked into an extended, higher three-quarters slot to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wider, crouched stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small hover trigger. Slightly elongated swing path with developing feel for the barrel, some strength when on-time, mostly pullside intent with best impact to that side when on-time and in-sync. Projectable, young talent with huge upside remaining on the mound.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
