2022 PG Softball Winter Scouting Combine - Iowa
Kaiden Weisbrod is a 5-foot-1, class of 2024 OF/MIF from Jackson, MO who attends Jackson HS. Kaiden is a top athlete who shows quick twitch actions and has a firm fundamental base that should serve her well as she moves through the last three years of HS and travel ball. In addition to her evolving high-level game, Kaiden is also an exemplary student. She ran a 5.78 40-yard dash and had an impressive 3.31 time from home to first. She also posted a 5'7 standing broad jump. A primary OF, Kaiden is a ball hawk. She shows her superior athleticism on the grass. She is quick and certain with her positioning. She plays through the fielding action with gathering momentum. She shows a sure, soft glove and has a coordinated transition. Her arm action is playable, and her 49-mph throws are accurate. As she adds arm strength over the next few years, Kaiden will be an elite, highly projectable defender. At the plate, Kaiden shows an ability that should make her a sought after, top-of-the-order prospect. She is a skilled, advanced bunter who can handle the short game well. The LHH has a hybrid style. Some slap. Some conventional. Both approaches are solid. She has obvious confidence in and with her offensive game. She gets her bat on path and through contact with force. She makes loud impact. Very twitchy and impressive. Big upside potential. Kaiden is a gifted athlete who just a happens to be a very good softball player. As she adds strength and improves upon her already impressive agility, her game will certainly take off. Her attention to detail right now, is notable. She has a mature approach that should help her reach all of her goals in the game. Certain college prospect moving forward. Limitless future.
