Ryan Gonzales is a 2027 RHP/MIF/OF with a 5-9 125 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Katy High School. Primary RHP with a lean and athletic frame with room to fill out. Throws from a low 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 80 from a consistent release point. Mixed in a curve with true 12-6 shape and could land it for strikes. Repeats his motions well with mechanics that drive to the plate well. Also played outfield and was up to 80 from there fielding it out front from an uphill release. Works through the ball well and maintains momentum with good accuracy. Arm strength should continue to improve. Also played infield and was up to 78 from across the diamond. Looked more comfortable in the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Uses a simple stride out into contact for timing and rhythm. Barrel gets out in the lot early and drags through the zone with some bat speed. Showed some strength off the barrel as well. Will need to be more consistent with timing. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
