Gavin Peters is a 2028 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Lanoka Harbor, NJ who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Tall, high-waisted build with long levers and plenty of physical projection remaining. 7.50 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop, works through the baseball at a deliberate pace and fields it cleanly up the middle. Showed feel for covering ground laterally and staying behind the backhands. Releases the ball from a high ¾ arm slot. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond with arm strength up to 80 mph. Secondary pitcher, stretch operation with a medium leg lift and stride down the slope. Drives well off the rubber while working into a shorter arm path and high ¾ slot. Fastball had some jump out of the hand with arm-side run, ultimately peaking at 78 mph. Mixed in a changeup and slider with developing spin profiles. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even stance with tight hands and a high back elbow. Shifts his weight well and utilizes a quick leg lift trigger for timing. Showed feel for creating leverage to the pull-side. Projectable power tool with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 92 mph. Excellent student.
