Kaden Leckrone is a 2026 C/RHP, 1B, OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Highland, IL who attends Highland. Recorded a 7.46 second sixty yard dash time. Compact frame with stockier build. Primary catcher, wider base, gains ground well with shorter, from-ear release. Accurate to second in the air. Some whip to the arm. On the mound the right-handed pitcher works from a chest-high leg kick with a slight pause at the top with a medium length stride down the mound. Shorter arm action in the back with an over-the-top release. Showed some whip to the arm. The fastball reached up to 78 (1928 RPM) and had good two-seam action and stayed horizontal through the break. The fastball was able to be thrown to both sides of the plate and start in on left-handed hitters before running into the inner third of the plate for strikes. Good curveball (2160 RPM) 11-5 shape with tighter spin and downward bite. Threw the curveball for strikes on both sides of the plate. Located the mix well and was confident working the corners of the strike zone. The curveball was effective late in counts getting weak ground balls or garnering swing and misses. Repeated the delivery well with minimal effort at release. Right-handed hitter, starts from an even base, bent at the knees, utilizes a toe-tap into the stride. Quick hands driving the ball all over in the air. Line-drive approach that uses the hips well in the swing. Works direct with the hands and was able to get to it out front. Added a double to left field in game. Intriguing two-way player as he matures. Excellent student.
