Joseph Bense is a 2028 C/RHP/IF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Ferndale, WA who attends Ferndale. Features a smaller build but some present athleticism. Ran a 7.43 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed quality actions. Works low to the ground and in rhythm. Hands are soft at reception which he displays early. Has a loose/quick arm with above avg. strength for his level. Behind the plate during throwdowns he's in a side saddle set up. Was athletic and quick out the crouch gaining good ground. Some quickness/strength to the arm that had a slight hitch in the action and threw 3/5 accurate to the bag. Some inconsistencies in the exchange that is compact and fast but where it gets flipped into the hand at times. At the plate, shows a simple RH stroke. Smaller leg lift trigger that initiates early as the hands load the barrel slightly up. Path works downhill with a higher finish. Some inconsistent timing during his BP round where he was catching it a bit deep. Quality inside-out LDs to the opposite field with his best bolt being a hard LD back up the box. Flashes quality hand/bat speed and is balanced at finish.
