Blaine Smith is a 2025 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Burleson, TX who attends Centennial. Medium frame with a strong athletic build. Ran a 7.19 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, loose easy mover with some athleticism, slows momentum some getting the barrel and clears the front side early into his release throwing from a lower slot, has projectable arm strength. Clean defender at first base, moves around bag well and has arm strength, just needs to refine accuracy. Also pitches, long arm stroke and simple delivery, runs the fastball arm side with short sink, showed mid-60s breaking ball with projectable spin. Left-handed hitter, narrow start and moves in balanced, some intent to his process and fast hands, works uphill through the zone and extends well through impact, comes off well to the pull side and has things to project on with more consistency. Good student.
