Mason Malone is a 2028 SS/RHP/1B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Providence Christian Academy. Long, lean and athletic frame with tons of physical projection remaining. Recorded a 7.11 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with solid fundamentals throughout the fielding process. Comes and gets the ball with some urgency before gathering slightly uphill using a big crow hop into release. Produced accurate throws up to 78 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with tons of deception due to moving parts. Maintains good pace and uses lower half well down the slope. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 78 mph from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Developing feel for spin with loose spin profile to lateral breaking ball, showed the ability to kill spin on changeup and it flashed some tumble. Will improve with continued mechanical refinement. Took part in the infield portion of the workout as well, where he worked through the baseball with urgency and displayed a clean funnel. Delivered fairly accurate throws up to 77 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a bent knee stance with a tight hand set and leg lift trigger. Intent based stroke with looseness to his hands and leverage out in-front when on-time. Developing feel for the barrel with legitimate power potential as he continues to make proper swing adjustments. Immensely projectable prospect with huge upside. Good Student.
