2021 Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase
Nick McCoy is a 2024 C/2B with a 5-7 175 lb. frame from Meridian, MS who attends Northeast Lauderdale. He ran a 8.34 second sixty. A primary catcher with a thick build. Behind the plate he gains ground into the throws with a clean transfer in the middle of his chest making accurate one hop throws as he recorded a 2.20 second pop time that will improve with more arm strength. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open stance taking a small stride into contact as he gets back to even, the barrel works up hill slightly with flashes of bat speed as he worked best to the pull side. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
