Daniel Wood is a 6'2", 155 lb. left handed pitcher from Glen Allen, Virginia, who showed his athleticism by running a 6.90 sixty. Daniel showed an 80 mph fastball to go along with a 70 mph curveball, and a 70 mph change up, all with command. Daniel still has lots room to grow physically. He has an easy delivery with long loose arms that makes it easy to project more velocity in the future with added strength. He has a short arm arch and inconsistent extension. He spots his fastball and uses his curveball as an out pitch. Daniel has almost no front side in his delivery and could add velocity almost immediately by getting his lead arm out and using it for leverage. In addition to being a very good runner, Daniel shows some raw bat speed at the plate as well. He's a good student with a bright future.
