Hayden Mathes is a 2028 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Utica, MS who attends Central Hinds Academy. Medium young athletic build. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, fields with two hands out front, still developing his footwork and confidence working through the ball, full and loose arm that projects well. Left handed hitter, has a loose and easy swing with some young bat speed, quick hands get the barrel into the zone on time, good swing base to build on with additional strength. Also pitches, works from the stretch with an on line delivery down the mound, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 76 mph with some running life. Slider was his best secondary pitch with some slurvy depth, threw strikes with all his pitches.
