2022 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 19)
Brady Armfield is a 2026 OF/RHP, UT with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Asheboro, NC who attends Southwestern Randolph. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, rounds the ball well to work behind it, utilizes a short crow hop and can implement additional weight shift through release, fields the ball out front, arm heavy release but shows strength to intended base with carry when working on top of the ball. Wide base and fields out front in the infield, young actions to backhand, longer strides up the middle, showed comfort dropping slot to complete the play with accuracy. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, slightly open stance and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball with some present bat speed through the zone. Found timing with leg lift in round, comfort working to pull side, shows carry coming off when on plane and out front. Excellent student.
