Josh Gunning is a 2028 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Haymarket, VA who attends Battlefield. Medium young build. 7.30 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has nice fundamentals for his age and stays balanced with his feet in good position, clean funnel out front, makes accurate throws with some carry, made all the plays. Right handed hitter, starts from a low hand load with a medium leg raise trigger, hits relaxed and balanced, line drive swing approach, met the ball out front well for quality line drive contact. Also pitched and has definite two-way ability, starts from a wide side step and stays tall over the rubber, good direction towards the plate with good lower half use in his mechanics, tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with some sinking life, tunnels that pitch well with a slider that has some sweeping depth. Should continue to get better in all areas as he gets stronger.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
